Business woman
I took the Women Entrepreneurship Program Course in Fall of 2015 through Techlia, knowing that I wanted to launch my business. The class allowed me to stay on track, stay motivated to get to launch and meet other inspiring women. I launched in August of 2016 with 4 other employees. Today I have a team of over 20 employees and we have substantially grown our client base across Nigeria, Ghana and even South Africa. I have been able to meet some really great successful women along the way through Techlia Women Entrepreneurship Program (WEP). I was able to utilize the Counsellor’s at the Women Entrepreneurship Program at no cost, which was a life saver when I was just getting started.
Business Analyst
I joined the coding class to help me develop my technical skills. As a product owner / Business Analyst working with technical solution teams, it is very vital for me to understand the technical side of a project so that I can have meaningful conversations with the tech teams and help the support team . It has been a huge success for me as I can engage more and also understand the solution design document provided.
Lawyer
On my regular visits to the Techlia web site, I clicked link to start any course relating to coding. I was elated that I can start a software development class that supports women. I encountered words I have never seen before: middleware, enterprise service bus, integration platform, enterprise architecture etc. "This is totally new to me", I said to myself. But, I decided that this would be an opportunity to learn and that I should just go with an open mind. Today, I am glad that I didn’t give up and I am now a pro in different programming languages.
Human Resource counsellor
I joined the coding class to help me develop my technical skills. Anne, her team, and the Counsellors help me connect to the tools and resources I need through all stages of my business growth. It is great to know that I am able to get the support I need locally in Nigeria through affordable and free programs. I am proud to say that I get the opportunity to help others by being the Human Resources Technical Counsellor for the Center.
